The Happy Harp!
The inspiration behind Diana Harpist is to share the harp music with as many people as I can! My goal is to take everyone through the miraculous journey of a song. Nevertheless, there are some people that can’t go to a concert hall. I reach out to them so they don’t miss out on the uplifting feeling of the music.
That motivates my own community outreach program, which consists of volunteering to play harp in adult day cares in my community. I play harp once a week at both the Tree of Life and the San Judas Tadeo adult day cares in Kendall, Miami. Through this program, I have been able to bring a smile to seniors and— because some of them are not able to move freely to a concert hall— the magic of live music.
I also play harp once a week at Sylvester Cancer Centre with the support of their music therapy program. I love playing in the centre’s cancer treatment unit because I get to experience the healing power of music every time I play! I have found that music can be comforting during difficult times and I am amazed that I can alleviate stress with my harp performance.
I also work as a musician in Mind&Melody, which is an organization that improves the quality of life of seniors who suffer from memory loss by playing songs from their youth. For more information, please click on Mind&Melody.
I also support education by playing in high schools, junior colleges and universities. I frequently play with New World School of the Arts, Frost School of Music and Miami Arts Charter School. I work to promote the pedal harp in education and community centers. I am organizing a harp performance for the last semester of 2019. Stay in touch!
Most of these programs are either volunteer or at special rates. The reason behind my volunteering is that I believe that music heals and I want to share my gifts with the community. By hiring my services, you will be helping me to bring art to my community. You will be a patron of the arts!

I had the pleasure to play at a beautiful Mother’s day event at Sylvester in Plantation at the breast cancer center unit treatment. It was organized by former patients to empower mothers who were going through the healing journey.
